We’re a small crew based right here in Sandy Springs, and we like it that way. You won’t get a rotating cast of strangers at your door. You’ll get the same handful of people, most of whom have been working together for years. Jesse Calder opened this location because he wanted a garage door company where the person who answers the phone actually knows the technician who shows up. That’s still how we run things.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Jesse Calder, Owner
Jesse started turning wrenches on garage doors in 2002 and has been explaining torsion springs to homeowners ever since. He’ll be the first to admit he’s given the same spring lecture so many times he can do it in his sleep, but he’ll also slow down and draw it on a notepad if that’s what it takes for it to click. Jesse still goes out on jobs most weeks, not because he has to, but because he genuinely likes meeting the people behind the work orders. He’s the one who personally works through the written price with you before anything gets touched. If something ever goes sideways, Jesse’s phone number is the one you call, and he answers it himself.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been fixing garage doors in metro Atlanta for over twelve years, and there’s not much he hasn’t seen pulled out of a track or wrapped around a shaft. He’s our go-to for the oddball spring conversions and the doors that were installed wrong by someone else and need to be sorted out properly. Marcus is certified on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor systems, which means he rarely has to run back to the truck for a second guess. He’s also the guy who will ask if your dog is okay with new people before he even rings the bell. Marcus keeps a photo of his beagle, Biscuit, in his toolbox.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana came to us from new-home construction, so she’s meticulous about the rough opening, the level, the weather seal, the quiet close, all of it. She installs new doors across Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and Buckhead and treats every project like it’s going to be inspected by someone’s very particular grandmother. Dana is especially good with homeowners who have young kids and need a door that won’t wake a napping two-year-old. She’s the one who started taping a small level on the inside of her tool bag so she could check the same read from a different angle without asking someone to hold it.
Lena P., Service Coordinator
Lena is probably the first voice you hear when you call Fernbrook Garage Doors Sandy Springs, at any hour. She’s been dispatching service work for eight years and has the rare ability to keep a schedule straight while remembering that the customer on line two has a chicken coop behind the garage and a gate code to mention. Lena doesn’t put anyone on hold to “check the system.” She knows who’s on what job and when they’ll realistically arrive, and she’ll tell you straight if it’s going to be later than she’d like. When she’s not answering phones, she’s plotting active listening to audiobooks about the Pacific Northwest, which she promises she’ll visit one day.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Fernbrook location operates independently, and our Sandy Springs crew holds itself to the same standard Jesse set when he opened the doors. The Cedarwell Care Promise isn’t a poster in the office. It’s the list we actually work from. Shoe covers on the hardwood. Drop cloths under the ladder on the tile. Quiet tools during nap hours and school-time calls. We ask before moving a dog crate or a stroller, and we use pet-safe products whenever there’s a choice. Before any work begins, you get a written price and a real explanation of what it covers. And before we leave, we take a photo of the clean-up so you can see exactly how we left the space, no surprises on either end.
